Supported Missionary: Doug Sprague
Doug Sprague was called in 2015 to serve Bongolo Hospital in a pastoral, construction /maintenance and advocacy role. Since then, Doug has visited Bongolo three times for a total of four months there! Doug donates his time to be Agape's Executive Director. His month-to-month financial needs are met through paid work and separate doners. That means that 100% of every donation to Agape goes to support the work of Bongolo Hospital; a portion may be utilized to fund future trips.
As response to God’s call to be prepared for future service, Doug is nearing the end of the Christian and Missionary Alliance’s Ministerial Training Program, a 3-year pastoral licensing program. In addition, Doug is aggressively learning French, Gabon’s national language.
A former software sales executive and an entrepreneur since 2002, Doug is a late-in-life missionary. The story of his call and experiences at Bongolo Hospital is told in Go! A Journey of Surrender and Trust, available at Amazon.com in both Kindle and Paperback editions.
Doug is scheduled to return to Gabon for a fourth time in 2019 and is actively fundraising to support this trip.
